It is required that the manuscript follows the standard IEEE camera-ready format (double column, 10-pt font) and be submitted as PDF file (formatted for 8.5-11 inch paper) as well as the requirements set by the EDAS paper submission system. Submitted paper must be original and unpublished papers with no more than 6 pages, including bibliography.

Use the standard IEEE Transactions templates for Microsoft Word or LaTeX formats found at: If the paper is typeset in LaTeX, please use an unmodified version of the LaTeX template IEEEtran.cls version 1.8, and use the preamble:

\documentclass[10pt, conference, letterpaper]{IEEEtran}

Do not use additional LaTeX commands or packages to override and change the default typesetting choices in the template, including line spacing, font sizes, margins, space between the columns, and font types. This implies that the manuscript must use 10-point Times font, two-column formatting, as well as all default margins and line spacing requirements as dictated by the original version of IEEEtran.cls version 1.8.

If you are using Microsoft Word to format your paper, you should use an unmodified version of the Microsoft Word IEEE Transactions template (US letter size). Regardless of the source of your paper formatting, you must submit your paper in the Adobe PDF format.

Camera ready instructions

Producing the final version of your paper

Final versions of accepted papers must be uploaded to EDAS for inclusion in the conference proceedings and to be submitted to IEEE Xplore®. The deadline is 17 May 2019.

IEEE/IEEE Communications Society/IEEE SECON policies

To ensure appropriate consideration of conflicts of interest during the review process, the IEEE ComSoc prohibits changes to the list of authors once a paper has been submitted for review during review, revision, or (if accepted) final publication. The author list may be changed only prior to the submission deadline.

To be published in the IEEE SECON 2019 Conference Proceedings and to be eligible for publication in the IEEE Xplore®, an author of an accepted paper is required to register to the workshop and the paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference unless the TPC Chair grants permission for a substitute presenter arranged in advance of the event who is qualified both to present and answer questions.  Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. Accepted and presented papers will be submitted to IEEE Xplore®.

Revising your Paper

Please check the reviews of your paper and follow the reviewers’ recommendations while preparing the camera ready. When you are done with the revision, please print out your paper and carefully proofread it. Review formatting requirements can be found at:

IEEE PDF eXpress

Only papers checked by IEEE PDF eXpress for IEEE Xplore compatibility are eligible to be submitted as final versions. This step can consume substantial time, so needs to be done well before the deadline.

A no-response by the TPC Chairs after this deadline shall be considered as denial.
